Volleyball Recap: Eagle Mountain Takes a Loss

Eagle Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cathedral Catholic Dons.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Eagle Mountain sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-27, 25-18.

Brooke Lacewell paced Eagle Mountain's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lacewell got some help from Molly Aubert and her 31 assists.

Eagle Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Cathedral Catholic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Eagle Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Dawson on the 29th. As for Cathedral Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Austin on the 29th.
