Gulfport hasn't had much luck against Picayune recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Gulfport Admirals' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Picayune Maroon Tide at 7:00 p.m.

Gulfport is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Madison Central, who was ranked eighth in their home state at the time (Gulfport was ranked 22nd). Meanwhile, Picayune gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against D'Iberville by a score of 28-19. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Maroon Tide.

Gulfport's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-1. As for Picayune, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
