Football Recap: Magee Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Theo Musgrove and Travon Magee

Magee and Franklin County squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Magee had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 23-20. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 46-20.

Travon Magee and Theo Musgrove certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Magee threw for 262 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, while Musgrove picked up 97 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Jakory Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Franklin County, rushing for 168 yards and one score. The Bulldogs are undefeated when Brown posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 3-5 otherwise. Armond Adams was another key player, rushing for 82 yards and one TD.

Magee has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Franklin County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

As of now, neither Magee nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
