Basketball Recap: Divide County Comes Up Short

Divide County won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They took a blow against the Tioga Pirates, falling 75-44. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Maroons of the 69-47 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Divide County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Tioga, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Divide County has already played their next matchup (against Ray), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tioga will face off against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Tioga surely won't give up without a fight.
