Piper had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 75-62 win over the Mill Valley Jaguars. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 58-53 victory the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.

Piper's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mill Valley, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piper will challenge Shawnee Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mill Valley, they will square off against Shawnee Mission North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mill Valley is facing Shawnee Mission North at the right time seeing as Shawnee Mission North is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
