The Monache Marauders are taking a road trip to challenge the Minarets Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Monache is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Monache will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against Golden West on Thursday. The Marauders blew past the Trailblazers 26-14. The Marauders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Tyson Chavez and Lewis Green did most of the damage at the plate: Chavez got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and two RBI, while Green went 3-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. That's the most hits Green has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Benicio Mendoza, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Monache always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .674. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Minarets came up short against Edison on Wednesday and fell 10-5.

Minarets saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Torin Wolf, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple and one run. Killian Paschall also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Minarets has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Monache, their record is now 17-9.

Monache might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Minarets in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Can the Marauders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
