Volleyball Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Takes a Loss

Vista PEAK Prep and Rampart squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Vista PEAK Prep had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Rams. The Bison were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in November of 2022.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 25-13.

Emily Peterson paced Vista PEAK Prep's offense, picking up seven kills. Peterson got some help from Ava Eltzroth and her 19 assists.

Rampart had a senior duo take command as Gabriella Melecio had 16 digs and three assists and Ellery Anderson had 12 digs. Melecio has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Vista PEAK Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Rampart, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-2.

Coincidentally, Vista PEAK Prep and Rampart will both be playing Northfield the next time they take the court. The Rams will host the Nighthawks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bison will play them later in the day, at 11:30 a.m.
