Soccer Recap: Burkburnett Takes a Loss

If Burkburnett was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Eagle Mountain last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Burkburnett Bulldogs fell just short of the Lake Worth Bullfrogs by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2019.

Burkburnett has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which is still a better percentage than their 1-6-1 record this season. As for Lake Worth, their record is now 6-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burkburnett will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Graham at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th. As for Lake Worth, they will square off against Cooper at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
