Softball Game Preview: Immanuel Eagles vs. Central Valley Christian Cavaliers

Immanuel has gone 8-2 against Central Valley Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will square off against the Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. Immanuel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Last Friday, Immanuel narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Sierra Pacific 7-6. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Addison Efird, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Watson, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Central Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 13-9 to Washington Union.

Central Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Immanuel, their win bumped their record up to 11-5-2.

Everything went Immanuel's way against Central Valley Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Immanuel made off with a 14-1 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
