Basketball Recap: Dj Tillman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dysart over Chaparral

Dysart saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a hard 67-51 fall against the Chaparral Firebirds. The loss put an end to the Demons' undefeated start to the season.

Dysart's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dj Tillman, who shot 54% from the field en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Santiago Leyva, who went 6-for-8 to rack up 15 points and eight boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dysart fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Dysart will challenge Deer Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Chaparral, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Horizon at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
