Oak Park-River Forest lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Glenbard West, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Huskies never let the Hilltoppers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Thursday. Considering the Huskies have won 15 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Molly Chambers's shutout, as she gave up just three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Harper Travis was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Maura Carmody, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Oak Park-River Forest hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive games.

Oak Park-River Forest's record now sits at 22-8. As for Glenbard West, they dropped their record down to 17-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Park-River Forest will square off against Proviso West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Glenbard West, they will face off against Downers Grove South at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
