Football Recap: St. Thomas More Chancellors vs. IMG Academy Ascenders
St. Thomas More lost against IMG Academy back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. Thomas More Chancellors lost 28-7 to the IMG Academy Ascenders. IMG Academy found their leader in freshman Jayden Wade, who threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown. Those 92 rushing yards gave Wade a new career-high. A healthy portion of Wade's aerial production (143 yards to be exact) went to Raiden Vines-Bright, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.
St. Thomas More is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for IMG Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
