Basketball Recap: Patrick County Comes Up Short

Patrick County lost against Glenvar last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patrick County Cougars came up short against the Glenvar Highlanders, falling 73-52. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Highlanders are ranked 93rd).

Patrick County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Glenvar, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Patrick County Cougars face off against the Radford Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glenvar, they will square off against Carroll County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
