Baseball Game Preview: White Castle Bulldogs vs. Tara Trojans

The White Castle Bulldogs will head out to take on the Tara Trojans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. White Castle is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

White Castle lost 12-5 to St. John on Thursday.

Tara never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Broadmoor on Thursday. They blew past the Buccaneers 16-1. Considering the Trojans have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Don Rochon was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrick Patin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Tara is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. White Castle's loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

White Castle came out on top in a nail-biter against Tara when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for White Castle since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
