Softball Recap: Firestone Comes Up Short

Firestone lost against Smithville back in April of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons fell 9-4 to the Smithies. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Firestone's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Smithville, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Firestone will host Ravenna at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Smithville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Orrville at 5:00 p.m. The Smithies are facing the Red Riders at the right time seeing as the Red Riders are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
