Mt. Hermon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Varnado Wildcats. On the bright side, the 13- run effort marked the Yellowjackets' highest-scoring match to date.

Mt. Hermon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Varnado, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Hermon will take on Kentwood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Varnado, they will welcome Abramson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Commodores have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
