League recap: Wallace County tops St. John's/Tipton Catholic to extend winning streak

Northwest Kansas (8 Man) recap Nov. 7, 2012

Wallace County extended the longest winning streak in Northwest Kansas (8 Man) this week by beating St. John's/Tipton Catholic, 56-6. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Wildcats.

Wallace County took down the Bluejays 56-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Gavin Mote threw for 176 yards and three touchdowns and ran for five yards in the win.

Clay Schemm made the biggest impact on defense this week as Kevin Ayers' team defeated St. John's/Tipton Catholic. The junior racked up two sacks.

Caden Daily was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wildcats bested Keith Kresin's team. Daily tallied four receptions for 78 yards. Callahan Grund helped Wallace County's passing attack out by catching one ball for 50 yards.

Connor Katt was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 112 yards on 19 carries as Hoxie beat the Bluejays. Teammate Chase Kennedy added to the ground attack by rushing for 63 yards.

Dighton's Ryan Kuhlman and Isaac Alinor have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Northwest Kansas (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. Kuhlman has thrown for 900 yards this season, while Alinor, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 33 catches for 533 yards. Rawlins County's Michael Capo leads the league in rushing yards with 852.

The Wildcats led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on St. John's/Tipton Catholic. Mote in the win.
