Amherst hadn't done well against Grand Island Central Catholic recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Broncos walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Crusaders. The win was familiar territory for the Broncos, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Libby Mitchell paced Amherst's offense, picking up nine kills. Mitchell got some help from Mackenzie Cochran and her 11 assists.

Amherst's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
