Soccer Recap: Philip Simmons Falls Short Against Ranked Pinewood Prep

On Thursday, Philip Simmons faced Pinewood Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Philip Simmons Iron Horses lost 6-0 to the Pinewood Prep Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Iron Horses of the 6-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Philip Simmons now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Pinewood Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

This will be Philip Simmons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Pinewood Prep, they will take on Palmetto Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
