Baseball Game Preview: Pendleton County Wildcats vs. Nicholas County Bluejackets

Pendleton County is 1-9 against Nicholas County since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Bluejackets at 12:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pendleton County is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since April 17th on Friday. They fell just short of Carroll County by a score of 5-3. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Nicholas County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Harrison County, falling 15-5.

Nicholas County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-22. As for Pendleton County, they now have a losing record of 11-12-1.

Pendleton County beat Nicholas County 5-0 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
