It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Essex can now relate to. They fell 8-3 to the Northumberland Indians on Tuesday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Essex saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keion Hence, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Essex's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Northumberland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Essex nor Northumberland have any future games scheduled.
