Union Grove is 9-1 against Harleton since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Union Grove Lions take on the Harleton Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.

Union Grove is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Hawkins on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Union Grove came up short against Hawkins, falling 49-23. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Harleton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They took down the Longhorns 41-23. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Harleton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Union Grove, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.

Union Grove strolled past Harleton in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 62-44. Will Union Grove repeat their success, or does Harleton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
