Basketball Game Preview: North Pontotoc Vikings vs. Alcorn Central Bears + How To Watch

The North Pontotoc Vikings will square off against the Alcorn Central Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Pontotoc is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

While North Pontotoc didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Potts Camp on Friday as they made off with a 65-39 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Alcorn Central played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by New Site 58-26. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-8.

North Pontotoc's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Alcorn Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

North Pontotoc won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in February of 2019, slipping by Alcorn Central 58-57. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
