Soccer Game Preview: Bloomington vs. San Gorgonio

Bloomington is 4-0 against San Gorgonio since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 5:45 p.m. Bloomington's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Monday just wasn't the day for Bloomington's offense. They fell just short of Carter by a score of 1-0 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Bruins have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, San Gorgonio unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to Oak Hills. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Bulldogs are ranked ninth).

Bloomington now has a losing record at 2-3-1. As for San Gorgonio, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1-1.

Everything went Bloomington's way against San Gorgonio in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, as Bloomington made off with a 6-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bloomington since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
