McClain entered their tilt with Hillsboro on Saturday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They had just enough and edged the Hillsboro Indians out 51-49. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tylee Davis, who posted ten points along with seven steals and five assists. Davis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Kyra Boyd was another key player, going 6 for 13 on her way to 14 points and eight rebounds.

McClain's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Hillsboro, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.

McClain will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Logan Elm at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Hillsboro, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-48 victory against North Adams on the 28th.
