Pine View snaps seven-game streak of wins at home

It was a good run, but the Pine View Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 61-50 to Dixie. Pine View has struggled against Dixie recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Pine View's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Griffen Shepherd, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nash Schroeder, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Kyle Lemke continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dixie, almost dropping a triple-double on 29 points, 13 rebounds, and nine blocks. Lemke has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Breckon Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.

Pine View's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Dixie, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Pine View will head out on the road to face off against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Dixie, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Snow Canyon's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
