Softball Game Preview: Dublin Jerome Celtics vs. Marysville Monarchs

Dublin Jerome hasn't had much luck against Marysville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Celtics will face off against the Monarchs at 5:15 p.m. This will be Dublin Jerome's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Dublin Jerome fell victim to Olentangy Orange and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Pioneers, falling 9-0. The Celtics' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Marysville made sure to put some runs up on the board against Westerville North on Tuesday. The Monarchs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors a 12-0 shutout. The Monarchs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Marysville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Dublin Jerome, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Dublin Jerome might still be hurting after the 14-3 defeat they got from Marysville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Celtics avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
