Basketball Recap: East Hardy Takes a Loss

On Friday, the East Hardy Cougars came up short against the Musselman Applemen and fell 59-48. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, East Hardy still got an impressive performance from Brooklynn Tinnell, who went 12-for-27 on her way to 36 points and five steals. The match was Tinnell's third in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Miller, who posted eight points in addition to nine boards and six assists.

Even though they lost, East Hardy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games.

East Hardy's record now sits at 9-9. As for Musselman, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.

Looking ahead, East Hardy will venture away from home to take on Northern Garrett at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Musselman, they will host Hedgesville at 7:00 p.m. on February 28th. Musselman is facing Hedgesville at the right time seeing as Hedgesville is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
