Volleyball Recap: Central Dragons vs. Altoona Mountain Lions

After flying high against Forest Hills last Wednesday, Central came back down to earth. The Dragons came up short against the Altoona Mountain Lions on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Mountain Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19, 25-17.

Central's offense was headlined by Christian Heuston and Bryson Brooks, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Logan Hummel and his nine assists. Heuston was also a major player on defense: he and Hayden Smith shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Altoona, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-9 record.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Bishop Guilfoyle on the 14th. Altoona has also already played their next matchup (against State College), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
