Basketball Game Preview: Victor Blue Devils vs. Webster Thomas Titans

The Victor Blue Devils will square off against the Webster Thomas Titans at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Victor will be strutting in after a win while Webster Thomas will be coming in after a loss.

Victor took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 67-52 victory over Spencerport.

Meanwhile, Webster Thomas entered their match against Rush-Henrietta on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Webster Thomas took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rush-Henrietta. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Royal Comets are ranked sixth).

Victor's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Webster Thomas, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Victor took their victory against Webster Thomas when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 71-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Victor since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
