Baseball Recap: Clifton Comes Up Short

If Clifton was riding high fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Kennedy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs lost 19-4 to the West Milford Highlanders on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Highlanders: they've now lost three in a row.

Clifton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tony Morales, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Morales' first of the season.

Clifton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for West Milford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Clifton has already played their next matchup, an 18-3 loss against Passaic County Tech on the 14th. West Milford has also already played their next game (against Teaneck), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
