Softball Recap: Elk Rapids Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

The Elk Rapids Elks made easy work of the Kalkaska Blazers on Thursday and carried off a 9-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Elks, who have now won four games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Jillian Moazeni was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Fluty, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Elk Rapids' victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Kalkaska, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
