Volleyball Recap: St. Ursula Academy Arrows vs. Ursuline Academy Lions

St. Ursula Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Ursuline Academy Lions. If the Arrows were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Ursula Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-20.

Molly Malone paced St. Ursula Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Malone got some help from Ellie Panczyszyn and her 25 assists. Panczyszyn also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Blake Schroyer, each putting up two.

Mackenzie Higgins was nothing short of spectacular for Ursuline Academy: she had 21 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Higgins a new career-high. Madison Moine was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.
