Basketball Game Preview: Pine View Panthers vs. Hunter Wolverines

The Pine View Panthers will face off against the Hunter Wolverines at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pine View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Pine View strolled past Emery with points to spare, taking the game 63-48.

Pine View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reese Gustin, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Gustin is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenedy Eves, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Hunter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Provo, falling 64-38. The Wolverines were down 50-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Hunter's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pine View, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
