Softball Game Preview: Mukwonago Indians vs. Janesville Parker Vikings

The Mukwonago Indians will head out on the road to challenge the Janesville Parker Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Mukwonago will be strutting in after a win while Janesville Parker will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Mukwonago made easy work of Catholic Memorial and carried off a 15-5 victory. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Brenna Borkowski, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Paeton DeGroot, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Janesville Parker started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Verona. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Thursday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lilly Keller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Delaney King made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those stolen bases were her first of the season.
