Soccer Recap: Colfax Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Colfax can now relate to. They came up short against the Summerville Bears on Tuesday, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 902nd, while the Bears are ranked 279th).

Colfax's goal came courtesy of Jay Aragon, who's now up to two this season.

Colfax now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Summerville, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Colfax does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summerville, they will challenge Hilmar at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Summerville knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Hilmar likes a good challenge.
