American Canyon had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Analy Tigers on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Wolves have beaten the Tigers on their court since April 2, 2024.

The victory didn't come easy: Analy scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 22-25, 27-25.

American Canyon's offense was headlined by Patrick Gamboa and Hector Valencia, who picked up 15 kills apiece. They got some help from Joshua Hmun and his 41 assists. Finally, Jacob Badua kept American Canyon's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Analy's loss came despite strong showings from Jorge Salgado Vega and Jose Zapien Gomez. Salgado Vega had 16 digs, while Zapien Gomez had 13 digs and one assist.

American Canyon's win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Analy, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-6.

Coming up, American Canyon will head out to take on San Leandro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Analy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
