Volleyball Recap: Cochrane-Fountain City Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It's playoff time, and Cochrane-Fountain City had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Eleva-Strum Cardinals on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Pirates as they're now sitting on three straight.

Cochrane-Fountain City had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-19, 29-27, 25-19.

Mackenzie Wenger paced Cochrane-Fountain City's offense, picking up 12 kills. Wenger got some help from Norah Lisowski and her 28 assists. Wenger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Cochrane-Fountain City's win bumped their record up to 26-9. As for Eleva-Strum, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.

Coming up, Cochrane-Fountain City will challenge Blair-Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eleva-Strum does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
