Basketball Recap: Holdenville Wolverines vs. McLoud Redskins
Holdenville suffered their biggest defeat since February 9, 2024 on Friday. They lost 60-39 to the McLoud Redskins. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Redskins earlier this season, when they won 66-62.
Despite the loss, Holdenville still got an impressive performance from Mike Piza, who went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Randall, who posted six points and eight boards.
Even though they lost, Holdenville was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McLoud only posted seven assists.
It was another big night for Bryce Cowns, who went 11 of 20 on his way to 27 points and six rebounds for McLoud. Cowns' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Mason Craven was another key player, putting up 14 points.
