Softball Recap: St. Edmund Takes a Loss

The matchup between St. Edmund and Catholic of Pointe Coupee on Thursday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. St. Edmund lost 18-8 to Catholic of Pointe Coupee. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 5, 2017, but that streak is no more.

St. Edmund's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8. As for Catholic of Pointe Coupee, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.

Looking ahead, St. Edmund will square off against Jennings at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Edmund's pitchers better be ready for this one: Jennings has averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Catholic of Pointe Coupee, they will challenge West Feliciana at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
