Basketball Game Preview: Richards Warriors vs. Kennedy Crusaders

The Richards Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Kennedy Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Richards will head out to face Kennedy after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. Richards fell 61-53 to Longwood. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kennedy fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 victory over Orr on Friday. With that win, the Crusaders brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Kennedy's win came from a few key players Richards will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Joseph Dahl, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Kylen Henderson was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.

Richards' defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.

Richards came out on top in a nail-biter against Kennedy when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 49-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Richards since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
