Baseball Recap: Caliche Comes Up Short

Caliche lost against Akron back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buffaloes lost 26-4 to the Rams. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zander Yost was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

Caliche's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Akron, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rams beat Caliche by a score of 14-1 later that day.
