Chartiers Valley barely beat Hopewell the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Chartiers Valley blew past Hopewell 9-1 on Friday. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Colts this season.

The team relied heavily on Colton Prosperi, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Pryor, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Chartiers Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Chartiers Valley and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Hopewell, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
