Baseball Recap: Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Comes Up Short

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 21-1 to the Riverside-Durham Pirates. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Riverside-Durham, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Southern School of Energy and Sustainability will host Clayton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Riverside-Durham, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Cary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
