Maroa-Forsyth took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They breezed past the Athens Warriors to the tune of 48-7. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Ryne Sheppard was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 59 yards and three scores on only six carries, and also threw for 156 yards and one TD while completing 76.9% of his passes. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zach Smith, who gained 122 total yards and a touchdown.

Maroa-Forsyth wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 68-21 win against Pleasant Plains on the 5th. As for Athens, they have also already played their next match, a 42-19 victory against Pittsfield on the 5th.
