Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Timberwolves vs. Evergreen Plainsmen

Heritage hasn't had much luck against Evergreen recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Heritage Timberwolves will face off against the Evergreen Plainsmen at 7:00 p.m. Heritage will be strutting in after a victory while Evergreen will be coming in after a loss.

Heritage will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Mountain View, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Heritage had just enough and edged Mountain View out 50-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Timberwolves have posted since December 1, 2023.

Meanwhile, Evergreen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-65 heartbreaker at the hands of Prairie. While losing is never fun, the Plainsmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Falcons are ranked 111th).

Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Evergreen, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Heritage strolled past Evergreen in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 76-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
