2A District 6 recap Oct. 30, 2012
Jonah Bueltel of First Baptist Academy ran for the longest rushing play in 2A District 6 this season against Out-of-Door Academy last week. Bueltel's team beat the Thunder as he sprinted for 90 yards on the play and finished with 231 in all.
First Baptist Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Out-of-Door Academy, 46-42. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
St. Stephen's Episcopal's dynamic duo of Sam Dages and Cam Tally proved tough for Community School of Naples to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dages threw for 114 yards and Tally had 40 yards receiving. Nick Rodhouse helped St. Stephen's Episcopal's passing attack out by catching one ball for 23 yards.
On the ground, the Falcons' Herman Israelsson has rushed for 1115 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ryan O?rourke. The Neumann star has 19 catches for 470 yards.
A big matchup in 2A District 6 this week will be when the Seahawks take on the Lions. Community School of Naples is in fourth place, while First Baptist Academy is in first place.
Damon Jones' team moved up to 457 from 486 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Seahawks were able to make move up by besting St. Stephen's Episcopal 35-14.
