Football Recap: Washington-Liberty Piles Up the Points Against Edison

Washington-Liberty never let their opponents score on Friday. They really took it to the Edison Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 35-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Brayden Black was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August of 2024. Washington-Liberty also got help from Trevor Fullen, who showed off his sure hands for 96 receiving yards.

Washington-Liberty didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Gabriel Salmeron, Miles Whitaker, and Lavand Aqrawi picked up one apiece. Salmeron got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Washington-Liberty's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Edison, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Washington-Liberty has already played their next game, a 14-13 victory against Westfield on the 19th. As for Edison, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 29-12 defeat against McLean on the 19th.
