Soccer Game Preview: Nacogdoches vs. Marshall

Nacogdoches is on a six-game streak of home losses, Marshall a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Nacogdoches Dragons will host the Marshall Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Nacogdoches fell victim to Mt. Pleasant and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 576th, while the Tigers are ranked 228th).

Meanwhile, Marshall also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Whitehouse on Friday, falling 7-0.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Nacogdoches, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Nacogdoches beat Marshall 2-0 when the teams last played back in January. Will Nacogdoches repeat their success, or does Marshall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
