Volleyball Recap: Monomoy Takes a Loss

Monomoy lost against Cape Cod RVT back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sharks came up short against the Crusaders, falling 3-0. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11, 25-12.

Monomoy's offense was headlined by Jane Pillsbury and Kinsey Lister, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Ella Cutter and her five assists. Lister was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Monomoy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Cape Cod RVT, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-8.

Looking ahead, Monomoy will head out to face off against Westport at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cape Cod RVT, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sturgis East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
